Kari Johnson Attorney
Kari is an experienced litigation attorney. She takes her cases very seriously and works hard to provide a focused, efficient, and effective defense for her clients. Kari has tried numerous cases in both state and federal court. She has been involved in countless appeals and has presented oral arguments before the Supreme Court of North Carolina, the North Carolina Court of Appeals, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. In 2012, Kari became a Board Certified Specialist in Appellate Practice by the North Carolina State Bar Board of Legal Specialization.
Kari has had a varied practice over the years which has included the representation of healthcare providers, universities, and retail establishments. For the past fifteen years, Kari has also represented municipalities, law enforcement agencies, and other public entities across the State of North Carolina in cases involving constitutional and civil rights claims, fair housing claims, and general liability claims. Kari has also defended correctional officers, healthcare providers, and other officials employed with North Carolina’s Department of Public Safety in cases involving constitutional, civil rights, and related state and federal liability claims.
Over the years, Kari has served as an adjunct professor and taught research and writing to first year law students at the University of North Carolina and the Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law at Campbell University.
